In New Orleans, FMD conducted a Survey of exterior walls, from ground, roofs, and swing scaffolding, performing identification and analysis of deteriorated conditions, leading to an analysis report. FMD assisted in the bidding process and conducted periodic visits to site during construction. FMD administered removal and resetting of displaced terra cotta cladding, replacement of severely deteriorated ornamental terra cotta with new cast stone to match the original, patching, pointing and cleaning of the terra cotta façade.

A prominent New Orleans landmark, the property was formerly the beloved Maison Blanche department store, which had been vacant for several years. FMD professionals worked within the ownerıs limited budget to provide a rehabilitation project that would effectively and cost-efficiently stabilize and beautify the exterior without performing a full restoration.
